A story about my painting journey...

Back in 2014, I enrolled in an online painting course called “Brave Intuitive Painting,” by Flora Bowley. I didn’t know it then, but taking that online course would end up changing my life forever. 

I spent the majority of my life following creative pursuits such as drawing, writing, singing, dancing, performing, sewing, collage, design, etc. I even had my own business creating accessories from felt…

…but, I had never tried PAINTING before. I guess painting always seemed a little scary to me. Even though I had spent so much time as a creator and maker, there was something about painting that really intimidated me.

At that time in my life, I was feeling lost, unchallenged and uninspired. I had gone through some major life changes and a vast amount of grief, and I needed an outlet for all of my feelings. I was also running my own business with two small boys, and dealing with some major BURNOUT. 

I decided to give painting a try. I purchased some inexpensive paints and created a tiny painting space in the guest bedroom. Almost immediately, I fell in love with the entire process of intuitive painting. I had been so nervous to try it. Me? A painter? No way. But Flora’s class made it feel so attainable. I devoured all of the lessons. This new process of painting felt so free and so mysterious. This painting process quickly became my passion, and although it has not been an easy journey, here I am almost eight years later, making my living as a professional artist. 

I tell you this story, because I have spent countless hours in my studio, music blasting, body moving, paint flying, creating paintings that make my heart beat faster, and learning to paint like only I can. Painting has become the mystery I need to solve. Although, I haven’t completely solved that mystery, the time I have spent painting has taught me so much… about making art, about living life, and about who I am. That online painting course changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined.

What if I've never been very creative?

That is just fine! I actually designed this course for beginners like you! In this course, I will help you to find what inspires you and sparks your creative passion!

What if I don't have much room in my house?

I actually started painting in a corner of my kitchen! In this course, we will go over some fun ways to create a painting space, even if you don't have a ton of room.

How long will it take before I learn how to paint?

That depends on how much time you are willing to commit. Learning to paint does take time and patience, but if you are willing to make the time, and do the work, you will see some beautiful paintings taking shape right away.

What if I'm on a tight budget?

In this course, we will cover several ways to create beautiful paintings on a budget. I'll show you all the inexpensive tools I love, as well as cheap, household items you can use when painting. I'll also let you in on some deals and hacks I use when purchasing painting supplies.

Once I purchase this course, how long will the content be available to me?

Once you purchase this course, all of the content is yours. You can either download the content or revisit the website as many times as you want. You will have the information forever.
